I worked on a logo design for a fictional restaurant called RJ Bar and Grill. The whole idea behind the logo design was to make the company owner front and center in the design so I went with their initials. The process included sketching out many letterform layouts to try and find an interesting way to combine various forms of the first letter of their last, first and middle name to come up with a unique design. I was finally able to come up with a creative almost ying-yang balanced design with the R and J initials.

After the logo design was finished I mocked it up onto various restaurant assets such as a mug and business card to give it a real world feel. For the business card I didn't just mock it up, but I also designed the graphic and layout for the business card too before putting it on the mockup just to add more to it than just a logo.
